Authenticity Guarantee

Note: the guarantee is not active during the demo. The terms below describe the intended program and will be confirmed before launch.

1. What it covers

For eligible certificates on paid plans, if an item we certified as Authentic is later shown to be counterfeit, VERIDIA will reimburse the holder up to a per-certificate payout cap, subject to these terms.

2. Eligibility

The guarantee applies only when: the capture protocol was followed (all requested angles, including the serial/date-code), the certificate is valid and unexpired, the item is unchanged since certification, and the claim is filed within the validity window.

3. Payout cap & reserve

Each certificate carries a stated payout cap. Payouts are funded from a maintained reserve and/or an insurance arrangement. The cap and reserve policy are published per plan before the guarantee goes live.

4. Exclusions

An Inconclusive result or an item routed to and decided by human review outside the standard protocol may carry different terms. Wear, alteration, or misuse after certification voids the guarantee.

5. Filing a claim

Email claims@veridia.app with the certificate ID and evidence. We acknowledge within five business days and resolve via the claims process, including an independent re-review.

6. Relationship to the verdict

A verdict is an objective opinion, not a warranty of title or value. The guarantee is a separate, contractual reimbursement promise governed by these terms and our Terms of Service.
